Watch Baseball World Series Online

Oct. 23, 2012 - PRLog -- It's almost time for the World Series playoff! The best-of-seven playoff for the baseball World Series 2012 is starting tomorrow, on October 24th.

The two teams contending for the title are the San Francisco Giants and the Detroit Tigers. The San Francisco Giants are the champions of the National League, and the Detroit tigers are the champions of the American League.

Both the teams are accomplished in their own ways.  The San Francisco Giants (earlier known as the New York Giants) have the distinction of having won most games of any team in the history of American professional baseball. They have won 6 World Series Championships, which is the second highest number of World Series Championship wins (tied with the Dodgers).  (The St. Louis Cardinals have won 11 and are at the first spot). The Giants last won the World Series just two years ago in 2010. Some of the players to watch on the Giants are Matt Cain, Tim Lincecum and Buster Posey.

The Detroit Tigers are the oldest continuous one-name, one-city franchise in the American League. They have won four World Series championships, the most recent one being in 1984.  Austin Jackson, Justin Verlander, and Phil Coke are some of the important players in the Detroit Tigers this season. All over the world, baseball fans can hardly wait to watch the games, but the enthusiasm in San Francisco and Detroit is beyond imagination.

The best-of-seven playoff will start out on Wednesday at the AT&T Park in San Francisco, and the second game will take place at the same venue on Thursday.  The next two games are scheduled to take place in the Comerica Park in Detroit.

After that, to the extent any further games are necessary, the 5th game will be played at the Comerica Park in Detroit, and the 6th and the 7th games will be played at the AT&T Park in San Francisco.

It turns out that many of these games are scheduled for weekdays, so many will find it difficult to wrap up work, get home, and be seated in front of the TV by the time the game begins. Very frustrating! But thankfully, many alternatives are available these days.
