Ben and Carleen Primus are the founders and proprietors of B-True Organics (http://btrueorganics.com/), which helps its customers select the healthiest and most natural skin care and hair products available today. Born in the U.S. Virgin Islands, Ben served as an AmeriCorps volunteer and as a member of the U.S armed forces before arriving in South Florida in 2010 to open their brick-and-mortar store, after launching B-True Organics online in 2008.

HOW IS B-TRUE ORGANICS DIFFERENT?
I work with skin on a daily basis and have been doing so for the past six years. I began to get hungry for more knowledge in order to bring better and greater results to my clients. I began to study and gain greater knowledge of skin through theory and hands on experience. When it comes to our facial treatments, we understand good skin goes hand in hand with better good choices and taking care of the inside as well as the outside. We know by educating our customers that we are preparing them to better understand the next phase of skin care revolution - bio science skin care, which is taking care of the skin through cellular rejuvenation.

WHAT DRIVES YOU TO CONTINUE TO DO WHAT YOU DO?
I like to see the results and the satisfaction on our customers faces when it comes to their skin. And our 5-star Google rating is very rewarding.

BECAUSE YOU OFFER A VARIETY OF SKIN CARE BRANDS IN YOUR STORE, HOW DO CUSTOMERS KNOW WHICH ONE TO CHOOSE?
Our staff is well trained to recognize a customer's skin type and condition. For example, a customer may have been experiencing dry skin for quite some time, but as a teenager used to have oily skin with large pores. The skin type, which was oily, has not changed, but due to the dryness experienced, the condition has been confused for the skin type. The customer must be switched to products formulated for dry skin to try and alleviate the conditions of dryness. That's a good example of how we educate our customer and get them back on track with their skin by offering treatments, products, and techniques from a variety of brands.

WHY DID YOU CHOSE TO SELL ORGANIC PRODUCTS?
We sell four different categories of products; non-toxic skin and hair products (http://btrueorganics.com/category/shop-all/hair-care/), natural skin and hair care products, organic skin and hair care products, and bio science skin and hair care products. We understand not everyone is concerned about natural and organic products, so we researched non-toxic products, which are products that are formulated with no known toxins within their ingredients. Natural products are products with all natural ingredients. Organic products are products that are formulated with organically harvested ingredients and bio-science products are products that are formulated with ingredients that are designed to work synergistically with the human body on a cellular level.

DO YOU HAVE ANY PLANS FOR EXPANDING BEYOND SOUTH FLORIDA?
Absolutely!! Our plan is to have small customer service driven stores wherever there's a need. We are currently developing a YouTube channel called "B-True Living," where we will provide tips for living a healthier lifestyle.
