"The Bowen collection is a summary of my loves," spoke designer and founder, Sheila Sanyu. "Ruched silks, playful frills and cute details overshadow what is an inherently wearable dress collection. My aim from outset was to create pieces that would not only be magical on that special night but also that could be worn often enough to be accessible. It was no small task and I'm really pleased that the years of hard work that went into getting the mix right have born fruit."
A wide range of inspiration interlaces the collection mixing an extravagance that would dance cheerfully through the Rococo period to a sense of proportion and chic that's as modern as it is contemporary. Each design was created by Sheila Sanyu herself, a self-confessed crafts fanatic and a former fashion buyer and trend analyst. Sanyu's initial collection, Bowen, mixes luxury heritage with modernity and has received widespread acclaim for being both original and commercial in a seemingly effortless fusion. Prices vary according to garment and entry pieces are available for as little as £150.
