Today's flags no longer require the wind for them to display properly. Thanks to flag styles such as a Blade, Tear Drop, or Swooper, these act more like small bilboards by always showing your message regardless if the wind is blowing or not. More traditional flags include either a feather, flutter, or square cut which do require a breeze but these also offer the additional attention grabbing features like a traditional flag does by waving in the wind.
A recent customer used five Tear Drop flags for a grand opening and had great success with them.
