HERS Breast Cancer Foundation Goes Pink During Tonight’s Warriors Game

PRLog (Press Release) - Oct. 23, 2012 - FREMONT, Calif. – HERS Breast Cancer Foundation (http://www.hersbreastcancerfoundation.org/) (HBCF), a professional accredited organization that supports any woman with a focus on breast cancer, today proudly announced it is teaming up with the Golden State Warriors to participate in halftime events during a preseason game against the Phoenix Suns on October 23rd.

This is the second time these two organizations have worked together to celebrate and recognize breast cancer survivors. The first was when HBCF welcomed Guard Charles Jenkins and his mother, who is a breast cancer survivor, to participate in the 13thAnnual KEEP ABREAST 5K Walk, 5k/10K Run (http://www.herskeepabreast.org/). The Warriors have invited ten breast cancer survivors from the KEEP ABREAST Event to be recognized on the court during halftime. These survivors will dress in pink, receive a special tour of the arena, watch pregame shooting from courtside, and cheer on the team as they face the Suns.  

“This is such a wonderful opportunity for the breast cancer survivors and the organization,” said Karen Jackson Community Development Director of HERS Breast Cancer Foundation, and event chairperson. “We look forward to continue to grow our relationship with the Golden State Warriors.”

HERS Breast Cancer Foundation is honored and excited to be invited to participate in such a highly recognized game. The survivors and their guests look forward to again greeting Charles Jenkins and watch him in action against the Phoenix Suns.

The founding trio includes a breast health consultant, a fund-raising executive, and a tax consultant who is also a breast cancer survivor.
