Oct. 23, 2012 - PRLog -- Sundial Teamscapes’ have launched a selection of festive team building activities that aim to give annual Christmas parties a productive edge. Available at the client choice of location or at one of Sundial’s  three country house venues at convenient vantage points around the UK, the simultaneously fun and constructive team building events take advantage of the ‘season of goodwill’ to get the best out of teams and hone skills of benefit in the workplace.

The Christmas team-building events start at just £25 per person and are available in three different formats. The first two are adaptations of Sundial’s famed culinary teambuilding activities; the Christmas Truffle Challenge and the Christmas Teamcakes activity day. The Christmas Truffle Challenge involves watching a professional demonstration on how to craft the perfect chocolate truffle, before delegates are encouraged to make their own. All participants will produce a variety of different chocolates in accordance with their own tastes, and will have a go at designing their own packaging before their finished product is presented to a judging panel for the final verdict. The truffles can then be enjoyed as a treat for completing the challenge, or taken away and given as unique Christmas gifts for a loved one.

The Teamcakes challenge follows a similar format, but with a twist; after an expert demonstration, participants will be divided into groups and will compete to create the best Christmas fruit cake – with one member of the team blindfolded! Both of these culinary challenges are not only fun and a great way for staff to let off steam at the end of a busy year, they also hone skills such as time and resource management, working as individuals and as members of a team, leadership, creativity and using one’s initiative.

The third Christmas Teamscapes activity is a Christmas Murder Mystery. Delegates spend the day attempting to solve a 30-year old crime by interview suspects and examining an authentic crime scene, helping to build information skills, improve communication and develop an aptitude for working collaboratively. All of the three events can be run at any of the three Sundial Venues – Barnett Hill in Surrey, Woodside in Warwickshire and Highgate House in Northamptonshire. All of the stunning venues have a plethora of festive dining options and a range of other Christmas events taking place for the companies who wish to extend their stay to a residential or attend one of the evening parties taking place. Combining fun and practical team-building activities with the annual Christmas party can reduce costs for the business overall, and give staff members a festive event to remember for all the right reasons.
