Gent, October 2012 – Version 6.0 of SecurIT TrustBuilder is a major upgrade introducing many new features in the area of versatile authentication, adaptive access control and transaction validation. In addition to its extensive coverage of almost any vendor method, a new embedded offering is released leveraging the widespread use of mobile devices and the increasing importance of cloud-based security offerings.
Large organizations require simultaneous use of several authentication methods to satisfy different use cases in the most efficient and cost effective way. TrustBuilder supports a wide variety of existing validation mechanisms, such as smartcards, certificates, hardware tokens and username/password, as well as embedded new methods involving cloud, mobile devices and biometrics, The product adheres to industry standards such as OAuth and OATH. With TrustBuilder 6.0, SecurIT now delivers a comprehensive solution following an important trend and the updated GUI based workflow feature makes it ever more simple to implement a rich variety of use cases and easily adapt to changes without requiring in-depth knowledge of the solution.
SecurIT TrustFactor™
Is an out-of-the-box authentication and transaction validation solution using mobile devices in combination with TrustBuilder. TrustFactor runs on all major mobile devices and provides three authentication and transaction validation options within one application:
• OATH compliant OTP generated on the mobile device
• OTP sent to mobile device using SMS
• Push Notification for out-of-band interaction
Push Notification is an extremely user-friendly feature which can be used for out-of-band authentication and transaction validation purposes. The critical data in a transaction is picked-up by TrustBuilder and sent to the TrustFactor App on the User's mobile device, asking confirmation of the transaction in a simple and user friendly way. An efficient method to provide enhanced security and prevent man-in-the-middle attacks.
