The esteemed event took place at the Park Plaza Riverbank Hotel in London, beginning with the FEM European Global Mobility Summit during the day and melting to a dazzling awards ceremony in the evening. Professionals in attendance enjoyed a host of networking and conference sessions during the day, and a night of trepidation, celebration and jubilation during the awards.
The 2012 European EMMAs received over 1,000 entries, with HCR beating competitors Brookfield GRS, Cartus, Crown World Mobility, Interdean, International Personnel Management, Mobility Services International (MSI), Paragon Relocation, SIRVA, Sterling and Weichert Relocation Resources Inc to receive one of the most coveted EMMA awards of the night.
The awards were independently judged by some of Global Mobility’s most experienced and respected professionals, including representatives from Unilever, Logica, Thomson Reuters, BlackRock, Mars, Heineken, Aviva, Diageo, BAE Systems, Tesco, BMW, American Express and Britvic.
Judges commented that HCR shone above others within the industry with their “thinking outside the box” attitude and ability to evolve and change the generic approach to relocation.
The Relocation Management Company of the Year award was allocated based on suppliers who went above and beyond the following criteria:
● the organizational skill driving the company
● impact on overall business priorities and goals of clients, specific benefits to assignees and any obstacles overcome
● innovations, effective use of resources, any improvement in customer service and cost management
● improved methods introduced to clients or other parts of the business
Business Development & Marketing Director Adrian Leach commented: “Our clear strategy for sustained growth through the provision of a diverse portfolio of services, strategic partnerships, innovation and customer service excellence has been recognised by this award. It was a high accolade to be short listed; to win is simply outstanding. The investments in communications, information technology and our wonderful staff will remain key elements of our strategic delivery. I am so proud of all my colleagues, all of whom continue to strive to be the ultimate professionals in our industry.”
“Winning an EMMA is the ultimate recognition of excellence in global mobility and this year’s European EMMA Awards have showcased the best, and most innovative, nominees we’ve seen so far,” said Brian Friedman Founder and CEO of The Forum for Expatriate Management, “My warmest congratulations goes to HCR for their very well deserved place as Relocation Management Company of the Year 2012”.
HCR have enjoyed a great year of successful trading and award winning service; winning the INSPIRE11 Business of the Year Award in November, the Re:Locate Relocation Service Provider of the Year 2011 and the Re:Locate Green Achievement Award in May 2012. HCR have also received Finalist gongs at the South Coast Business Awards, Re:Locate Awards and most recently the INSPIRE12 Awards and Thames Valley Business Awards.
