Pioneers of the Steam-Prog Revolution, Mindcage Launch Kickstarter Campaign to Fund Concept Album

PRLog (Press Release) - Oct. 22, 2012 - Set in an alternate history of a highly plausible future, Mindcage's ground-breaking concept album, "Our Own Devices" warns of what may become of our society if we turn our backs on the importance of arts, music, humanities, and spirituality.  It also introduces the world to Arabella Vash, a woman on a mission to awaken and enlighten a world gone wrong. Her message is sure to shake humanity to its very core.

With Our Own Devices, Mindcage is poised to introduce a new musical concept termed Steam-Prog which combines elements of melodic and progressive rock opera music with Victorian ethos and technology. Expanding beyond the music, Steam-Prog encompasses fashion, art, and attitude, making this revolutionary new sound a sub-culture within itself.

Legendary Rock Producer Michael Wagener has agreed to produce the lead vocals and guitar solos, as well as mix and master the album at his state-of-the-art facility, WireWorld Studios just outside of Nashville. Michael Wagener is an icon in the recording industry having recorded, produced and/or mixed platinum-selling albums. Some of the artists he has worked with include Ozzy Osbourne, Metallica, Megadeth, Mötley Crüe, W.A.S.P., Overkill, Accept, and many more.

Michael Wagener is the perfect producer to guide Mindcage in bringing their vision of the Steam-Prog culture to the world through the story of Arabella Vash.  

The purpose of this Kickstarter campaign is to raise the funds necessary for the band to stay in Nashville and work with Michael Wagener to complete this extraordinary vision.

Mindcage is a progressive metal band from Pensacola, Florida. Their debut release entitled "Encapsulation" garnered critical acclaim worldwide and established the band as the "New Wave of American Progressive Metal".
