Coupon Puppet Announces Launch of "Is This Deal Worth My Time?" Column

PRLog (Press Release) - Oct. 22, 2012 - Coupon website Coupon Puppet recently launched an online column entitled Is This Deal Worth My Time? The new column helps deal hunters decide if online deals that take an extra few minutes to redeem are worth their time. Coupon Puppet CEO Heather Simmons explains:

"Most online deals are instantaneous. You simply click on a link or enter a coupon code and voila! You save money. However, once in a while you come across an online deal that is not instantaneous, a deal that requires an extra few steps to get your savings. We thought it would be valuable information for our users if we tested those deals to see exactly how long they take and reported on our findings."

The first three online deals tested for Coupon Puppet's Is This Deal Worth My Time? series delivered mixed results. The ShoeDazzle Style Quiz, a quick questionnaire required by shopping site ShoeDazzle, was determined to be worth the time for any fan of fashion. A Fandango coupon for VISA Signature card holders was determined to be worth any moviegoer's time, as it offers a 20% discount on movie tickets for anyone willing to spend an extra two to five minutes.  A Saveology gift card deal did not fare as well, however: saving $6 on iTunes simply could not justify a person spending 34 minutes online and on the phone, plus 18 days of waiting for the gift card to arrive in the mail.

The Is This Deal Worth My Time? series will not operate on a set schedule. Deals will be tested on an as-needed basis by the staff at http://couponpuppet.com/ when it appears that a deal is too good to be true or may take an unusual amount of time to redeem. "Our users, like everyone else, are busy people! Saving a little money should not require excessive amounts of time or jumping through hoops," asserts Simmons. "Is This Deal Worth My Time? will help us weed out the online deals that are simply not worth your valuable extra minutes."
