Three winners at the BMGA Dinosaur Safari Explorers Cup 2012 Public Minigolf Tournament

Adult, Junior and BMGA Tour Pro Champions crowned at the Dinosaur Safari Explorers Cup British Minigolf Association Competition at the Dinosaur Safari Adventure Golf course in Arkley, Hertfordshire.
 
Oct. 22, 2012 - PRLog -- On Saturday 20th October the British Minigolf Association made its debut at the Dinosaur Safari Adventure Golf course in Arkley, Hertfordshire as the 18-hole Adventure Golf course hosted the first-ever Dinosaur Safari Explorers Cup Minigolf competition.

A total of 28 players took part with 30 rounds of Adventure Golf played to official British Minigolf Association Rules. The event saw three winners crowned in Adult, Junior and BMGA Tour Pro categories.

Ed Morton from Toddington won the Adult category of the Dinosaur Safari Explorers Cup with a score of 34(-2). Woburn’s Freddie Drabble and Hertford’s Matt Rogers tied for second-place with scores of 38(+2).

In the Junior category of the Dinosaur Safari Explorers Cup Birmingham’s Owen Johnson won with a score of 44(+8). Joel Freedman from Borehamwood was the runner-up with a round of 47(+11). Ben Davies was third having scored 49(+13).

Each novice player taking part in the Dinosaur Safari Explorers Cup received free standard membership of the British Minigolf Association.

Sean Homer of the Kent Minigolf Club was the winner of the BMGA Tour Pro category of the Dinosaur Safari Explorers Cup with a round of 35(-1). Paul Johnson of the Midlands Minigolf Club was runner-up having scored a round of 40(+4) and Owen Johnson, also of the Midlands Minigolf Club, was third with his score of 44(+8).

The British Minigolf Association (BMGA) is the governing body for Minigolf Sport, including Crazy Golf and Adventure Golf. Formed in 1998 the BMGA organises Minigolf competitions for its members across the UK. Dinosaur Safari Adventure Golf features 18-holes of fun packed Adventure Golf amongst nine dinosaurs from the Jurassic period, cascading waterfalls, flowing streams, lagoons, lush greenery and tropical palm trees. The course is open 7 days a week, opening at 9am and closing at 8.30pm, with final admissions and balls served one hour prior to closing, at 7.30pm.
