California Diversity Council, Silicon Valley Chapter Presents Advancing Women Leaders: The Win/Win Solutions, with Guest Speaker Sheila Dundon, Friday, November 9th

MARINA, CA – The California Diversity Council, Silicon Valley Chapter is excited to present its November guest speaker. As President of Priority Leadership Group, an organizational effectiveness and leadership company, Sheila Dundon is passionate about helping people transform into leaders who consistently get results and awaken that desire in others. Dundon recently launched RISE Leadership Forum, a leadership development program for women only that advances the global movement to increase women’s representation in senior leadership.

Dundon will speak on Friday, November 9th from 12:00 p.m.- 1:30 p.m. at Flemings Prime Steakhouse and Wine Bar located at 180 E. El Camino Real, Suite G2 in Palo Alto, California. Brief summary
While we have made great strides since winning the right to vote, women are nowhere near an equal representation in leadership roles compared to men. The message from successful women leaders at the top strongly points to a change in tactics and assumptions if we want to increase the number of women leading our organizations. Low numbers of women in our leadership positions is no longer just a gender equity issue; it’s a financial equity loss. The research consistently points to more women in the C-suite and the Boardroom leads to increased organizational and financial performance.
Ms. Dundon will reveal the social conditioning barriers that actively reinforce gender bias by both men and women in our organizations today. She will share tactics women can take to achieve the career advancement results, and strategies organizations must consider to thrive.
