Quarles & Brady Chairman John W. Daniels Jr. Named to Board of Leadership Council on Legal Diversity

PRLog (Press Release) - Oct. 19, 2012 - (Washington, D.C.)--John W. Daniels, Jr., chair of the national law firm of Quarles & Brady LLP (http://www.quarles.com/)  was named to the board of the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity (LCLD) during the organization’s Annual Meeting in September.

Daniel joins new Board members Susan L. Blount, General Counsel of Prudential Financial, Inc.; Brett J. Hart, General Counsel of United Airlines, Inc.; and Eric J. Friedman, Executive Partner of Skadden Arps.  Founding LCLD member Brad Smith, General Counsel of Microsoft Corporation, will assume chairmanship of the board.   J. Grey, Jr., Executive Director of LCLD commented on the newly elected board members steadfast commitment to the mission of LCLD, and to building diversity in the legal profession.

John Daniels has been the chairman of Quarles & Brady LLP since 2007. In his position, he has led the Firm through a fundamental transformation, shifting from the traditional operational model upon which most major law firms are built to a client-centric, business-minded organization. Daniels has driven this fundamental cultural shift in the midst of the worst economy in decades, leading to significant growth while most of the legal industry has declined.

Mr. Daniels is well recognized in the legal community as well as the business community.
