Oct. 22, 2012 - PRLog -- In the latest move by Marshall Barnes to further tighten his grip on the 1st place position in the race against Dr. Ron Mallett of the University of Connecticut to build the first time machine, Marshall will demonstrate his Verdrehung Fan(TM) time machine prototype while being interviewed by Ron Mills the host of the program heard on Talktainment Radio (http://www.talktainmentradio.com). The interview will cover the secrets of the time travel movie, Looper, the creation of the Verdrehung Fan(TM) and Marshall's campaign to set the record straight on the physics of time travel.

The competition with Mallett began after the UConn physics professor turned down the opportunity to work with Marshall on his project. Mallett, who allegedly told Marshall that he needs more than $250,000 to proceed with his own project, has not been able to produce anything more than a scale model of what his machine will ultimately look like and has not been able to conduct any experiments yet to prove his idea that a rotating laser can create enough of a gravitic effect to produce closed time-like curves required for models of time travel based on Einstein's General Theory of Relativity. The two men already knew each other having met in 2007 when Marshall promoted several events featuring the professor and his book, Time Traveller. Marshall told Mallett of his intention to proceed with his experiments and that if he was successful Mallett would lose all claims to having the first time machine. That was April of this year. In August, Marshall announced that he had created his device and produced enough effects to be able to declare that it was approaching the first stage requirement to be a time machine.

A few weeks ahead of Marshall's demonstration on The Chosen, Marshall will be conducting a first ever, hands-on demonstration of the device with high school physics students at Grandview Heights High School on November 2nd, a day after Ronald Mallett presents a lecture at Butler University. Increasingly, it is becoming obvious that while not having a machine, Mallett has received extensive publicity, speaking engagements, a book deal, TV special and the rights to his life bought by Spike Lee, but these accomplishments are bound to be overshadowed as Marshall gains in the public eye and he begins to demonstrate the power and potential of his Verdrehung Fan(TM). The competition between Mallett and Marshall can be followed on the official web site The Great Time Machine Race at www.thegreattimemachinerace.weebly.com.

Marshall will also be appearing at the Mountaintop Book Store in Salem, Ohio, to do a lecture/demonstration at 7PM, November 9th. More dates are being planned for what will be a major tour spanning the remainder of this year, to the end of the next.
