Silver Eagle Outfitters Premieres Advanced Fabric Technology at the 2012 NSC Congress & Expo

The new Kula-XD “Dry Evaporative Cooling Vest” sets a new standard for simplifying heat stress relief.

Oct. 19, 2012 - PRLog -- The safety industry will have an opportunity to see the latest in heat stress prevention apparel first-hand when Silver Eagle Outfitters exhibits their new Kula-XD™ cooling vest at the 2012 National Safety Council Congress & Expo in Orlando, Florida.  For the safety-conscious and those who just like to feel cool, the Kula-XD’s use of new fabric technology offers an easier, drier path to heat stress protection.

Like the cooling vests that have brought heat-relief to Silver Eagle customers since 2000, the Kula-XD is activated by adding water to the garment, which then absorbs into an interior material that remains lightweight, even after water has been added. The absorbent inside is sandwiched between two layers of water-proof breathable fabric that keep the moisture away from the wearer, allowing it only to escape away from the body through evaporation.

What makes the Kula-XD cooling vest different?

1. The Kula-XD provides DRY Evaporative Cooling using Inuteq™ patented cooling technology, a new means of adding water to the garment that allows the outer surfaces of the vest—and the wearer—to remain absolutely dry.

2. For more immediate cooling and ease of use, the Kula-XD is equipped with a sealable filling point where water can be added directly to the inner material, eliminating the need for submersion.

3. Treated with Ultra-Fresh antimicrobial treatment to deter bacteria and fungi growth for the life of the garment, the materials in the Kula-XD are guaranteed odor- and mildew-resistant, even through repeated washes.

With a loyal customer base that spans numerous markets, Nancy Keen, Silver Eagle Outfitters co-founder, says the new vest is an easier alternative for those concerned with health, safety, and comfort. "We have always focused on providing the best in quality and design.  Offering a dry evaporative cooling option simplifies the effort to protect individuals against heat stress by reducing the time and effort required for activation."

The 2012 National Safety Council Congress & Expo is held in Orlando, Florida (October 22-24, 2012) to discuss safety awareness and to demonstrate products that lend to healthier,  safer lives for individuals at work, home, and in their communities. Silver Eagle Outfitters will be located in booth 2913. More information about the expo can be found at www.congress.nsc.org.  The Kula-XD is available in black, silver, royal blue, and high-visibility reflective trim at www.silvereagleoutfitters.com.
