Family House to Host Dinner for One Young World Participants

PRLog (Press Release) - Oct. 19, 2012 - The dinner will be hosted on Saturday, October 20th at 7 p.m. at Family House University Place in Shadyside. The six international visitors will have the opportunity to meet Family House guests and learn about Family House’s critical mission and their extensive and successful volunteer program.

One Young World is a charity based out of London which gathers young, emerging leaders from all over the world in an effort to create lasting professional connections to trigger positive change. Each year a Summit is held where One Young World members discuss and resolve important issues in today’s world. In 2012, the Summit is being held in Pittsburgh October 18th -22nd at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center.

Family House is one of the nation’s largest hospital-affiliated hospitality houses.  Since its inception in 1983, Family House has provided affordable and comfortable accommodations for patients and their families who are awaiting medical treatment at one of Pittsburgh’s hospitals.  Each year more than 12,000 families stay at one of Family House’s four locations.  To date, more than 137,000 families from every state in the nation and from all points around the globe have stayed at Family House.
