The New Characters:
Meet Ms.Ginaldi, she's Maya's 4th grade teacher. Ms.Ginaldi is a fair but stern teacher who pushes Maya to always strive for excellence. She is portrayed in Maya's imagination as a superhero called "Gina Fierce." Gina Fierce has extraordinary fighting skills, telepathic and telekinetic powers.
Meet Tyler, a very smart and athletic kid in the 4th grade. He is Maya's class rival and is portrayed in her imagination as a superhero called "ProdiG." Tyler is kind of arrogant, but he's is not a bad kid. He basically has a “frenemy” relationship with Maya. Tyler's alter ego "ProdiG" has extraordinary athletic abilities, super intelligence, strength and can absorb people's powers.
Meet Selena, she is Maya's best friend in the 4th grade. Selena and Maya are inseparable and always have each other's back. On many warm summer nights they like to catch lightning bugs which is Selena's favorite hobby. In the world of "The Amazing Queen Bee," Selena is known as a superhero possessing pyrokinetic powers called "Fya Fly." Pyrokinesis is the ability to manipulate fire. Fya Fly is also known for her never-give-up attitude.
About The Amazing Queen Bee
Created and illustrated by David M. Wallace, “The Amazing Queen Bee” is about a 9-year-old girl named Maya who is raised by her father and has a 7-year-old brother. Readers will be captivated as they enter Maya's world where she imagines herself as a powerful superhero called "Queen Bee."
