Gallant Entertainment Inc. (GEI), which uses Yamaha instruments exclusively, is the only New York City based company that can build a unique drum line performance for any event. Offering “compelling entertainment rooted in the tradition of marching with a contemporary twist,” all shows are produced, designed, and choreographed by some of the biggest names in the entertainment field and brought to life by some of the best performers in the business.
To create “The New York Sticks,” Gallant recently held auditions seeking the most talented marching percussionists in the New York metropolitan area. “We were floored by the talent and enthusiasm we encountered,”
“Yamaha congratulates Gallant Entertainment as they bring their unique brand of entertainment to an exciting new venture,” says Roger Eaton, Director of Marketing, Yamaha Band & Orchestral Division. “Yamaha is committed to matching the exceptional level of professionalism, talent and creativity that GEI displays with our outstanding products and technical support.”
This season, GEI will also break into the world of professional football on October 21st, providing the first-ever drumline at the Giants-Redskins game at Met Life Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.
According to Gallant, GEI is situated at the leading edge of the marching arts, combining traditional performance styles and the latest music and performance technology.
“GEI supplements exceptional drum line performance with dynamic, high tech enhancements, such as interactive LED lighting systems, that are controlled by the rhythm of the drums,” says Gallant.
GEI has also pioneered the use of internal miking systems for marching percussion, which enables them to mix sound with all manner of venues, including the largest stadiums and arenas.
Beyond professional sporting engagements, the company uses its innovative performance model to punch up corporate events, motivational events and television commercials by “injecting a high-energy performance full of excitement, fervor and frenzy.” GEI additionally produces custom experiences for events, conventions and sales meetings that motivate and inspire teams to push it to the next level.
