Award winning author offers tips on writing Romance & Sensual Tension at Ukazoo Books at the kick-off of the month-long project to write a novel. National Novel Writing Month runs through November and is thirty days and nights of literary abandon.

Oct. 18, 2012 - PRLog -- (Baltimore, MD) – If you have ever said “one day, I’d like to write a novel,” then November 2012 is your month.  National Novel Writing Month — NaNoWriMo (http://www.nanowrimo.org/) — which as TerribleMinds.com has said, sounds like the more formalized greeting used by Mork when calling home to Ork — is an opportunity for writers to do what they should do daily and that is write. On November 4, from 2:30 p.m. until 6 p.m. Ukazoo Books (http://www.ukazoo.com) is hosting the NaNoWriMo event “Turn Up the Heat,” where Laura Kaye (http://www.laurakayeauthor.com) helps lead budding novelist in writing sprints that will hopefully hone their skills and build their word count, a necessity if you are going to compete in the NaNoWriMo month-long project where the goal is to write a novel, 50,000 words, in a month.

Kaye is a multi-award winning bestselling author who spends a good deal of time mentoring other authors.  “I love giving back and helping emerging authors with their craft, Kaye said recently.  “One of the fun in-person things about the NaNoWriMo events is that they take out the solitude out of writing. Being a part of the kick-off at Ukazoo Books should be a blast! It will be three and a half hour of writing sprints. You must write 1667 words every day to achieve 50,000 in a month,” Kaye added.

Kaye, who is published by Entangled Publishing (http://www.EntangledPublishing.com), is joined by fellow Entangled author, Stephanie Dray (http://stephaniedraven.com). Also sharing the day’s festivities are Eliza Knight and Christi Barth.

National Novel Writing Month is an annual (November) novel writing project that brings together professional and amateur writers from all over the world. At the Ukazoo, “Turn Up the Heat” event there will be chocolate for all, and prizes for the highest word count after each sprint. Ukazoo Books located at 730 Dulaney Valley Road, Towson, Maryland.
