Oct. 18, 2012 - PRLog -- San Diego, CA – A-1 Self Storage, the premier provider of self storage in California, announced today their sponsorship of the “2012 Butterfly Ball” event presented by Fresh Start Surgical Gifts of San Diego to be held on October 20, 2012 at the Hyatt Regency La Jolla at the Aventine San Diego, CA.

The annual "Butterfly Ball" has grown from an intimate dinner gathering in the home of Fresh Start’s founder 21 years ago to a 300 person grand event! In 2011 the event raised more than $107,000 providing enough funds to underwrite two surgery weekends. The Mission of Fresh Start Surgical Gifts is to “transform the lives of disadvantaged infants, children, and teens with physical deformities caused by birth defects, accidents, abuse, or disease through the gift of reconstructive surgery and related healthcare services.” FSSG serves hundreds of children every year by partnering with a local hospital, volunteer surgeons, volunteer medical personal, and other generous San Diego based businesses. Each partner plays a role in achieving FSSG’s vision, to build a community of volunteers committed to seeing every child with a physical deformity be given the opportunity to have a positive self-image, thereby enriching their lives and the lives of the givers.
