Oct. 18, 2012 - PRLog -- The number one complaint in restaurants is uneven tables.  Let's face it, who likes a wobbly table when they sit down for a nice meal?  No one.  Simply placing a folded napkin looks rushed and is a very temporary solution - we have a permanent solution to this.  At Spiro Designs Ltd, we have been furnishing restaurants, bars and hotels for over 20 years, and we strongly believe that the unseen (table base) is just as important as the seen (table top).

The first point to consider is if you will be moving your tables round a lot or not.  If you do often rearrange tables and move them frequently you cannot afford to accommodate large groups of people around these tables - why?  Because table bases are designed so that they support the largest table top possible I.e table tops which accommodate 6 or more people will need a heavy base (often made from cast iron) thus moving this around will be a problem.  Small table bases with small table tops are the perfect set-up if you frequently need to rearrange.

The next point to consider with table bases is the colour.  Chrome finished table bases provide a more contemporary feel within a restaurant, bar or cafe.  If there are a lot of chrome finishes inside the room, these table bases seamlessly compliment the environment.  On the complete reverse, black table bases blend into the background and offer more emphasis on your dining chairs (should you want this), but there are some black table bases which offer an ambitious amount of detail and character which are perfect for pubs and cafes.

Finally, we highly recommend you consider Flat technology table bases.  Remember the annoying wobbly tables which we all encounter?  Flat technology table bases have self adjusting table feet which move up or down to counter uneven surfaces.  Yes that is right, they are self adjusting and you do not need to do anything.  The flat technology can also expand to self level table tops, for those of you who often rearrange table's and join them together - flat technology can also level the tops.

It really is worth investing time to think about table bases as much as the table tops, as it will benefit in the long run.
