Brooklyn Lawyer Philip Lights Opens New Office

This is the famous SL Green property known as the tallest office building in Brooklyn. Just blocks from Brooklyn Supreme Court, family court, and criminal court. The office borders on the thriving Metrotech Center, which has such prestigious tenants as J.P. Morgan Chase, Bear Sterns, Empire Blue Cross Blue Shield just to name a few. Downtown Brooklyn has had quite the revival for the past several years culminating in the newly constructed Barclays Center home of the Brooklyn Nets.

It took Philip Lights a year to find the right location. “I felt like I had to come to downtown Brooklyn” Says Mr. Lights. “I was able to find a centralized location that would be easy for my clients to come to. We’re one stop from Manhattan. I live in the area so I can walk to work, and plus I’m a Brooklyn Nets season ticket holder so after work I can walk to the game!” says Mr. Lights.

Philip Lights is a retired NYPD detective who understands the transition that New York City has gone through. He worked in the prestigious Manhattan South precinct in the Lower East Side doing buy and busts in the 80’s and feels happy to be alive. His father is a retired detective as well. “I feel lucky to be here” he says.

Philip Lights practices criminal law, including DUI/DWI representation, family law, including child support and divorce, and immigration law. Since the move Mr. Lights practice has increased 50% in volume as compared to last year. “A lot of people need our help and I look forward to serving the Brooklyn community” says Mr. Lights with a smile.
