Oct. 17, 2012 - PRLog -- Adventurer/educators Dave and Amy Freeman have spent the past two years traveling over 10,000 miles across North America by kayak, canoe and dogsled. The intrepid duo just paddled into New York City. All this week, they will be sharing tales from the trail and life lessons learned in the wilderness at many New York schools.

Although they have traversed the continent, from the Pacific to the Atlantic, Dave and Amy still have about six months and 1,750 miles of paddling left to complete this one of a kind adventure as they kayak down the Eastern Seaboard of the U.S. Their final destination is Key West, Florida, which they expect to reach in April of 2013.

On Earth Day (April 22) of 2010 Dave and Amy began the North American Odyssey, a three year, 12,000 mile journey across North America by kayak, canoe, and dogsled. The purpose of their expedition is to highlight North America’s waterways and wild places while actively engaging over 100,000 elementary and middle school students in their journey though their website and school assemblies.
