Snell & Wilmer Hosts Charity Mixer Attracting More Than 20 Local Philanthropic Organizations

PRLog (Press Release) - Oct. 17, 2012 - Snell & Wilmer’s Las Vegas office hosted a charity mixer that attracted over 50 board members and staff from more than 20 local charities. John Delikanakis, a partner in the firm’s Las Vegas office, developed the idea for an evening devoted to discussing and developing strategies to address the challenges local charities face.

“The idea to host a reception with like-minded people who serve charities came about after a conversation with a few of my colleagues at Snell & Wilmer who serve on boards of local charitable organizations,” said Delikanakis. “During our discussion it was clear we all face similar goals and problems. Bringing organizations together to exchange ideas was a natural fit. Finding a speaker like Preston McMurry, who has started and marketed charitable organizations, was a bonus. We look forward to hosting another evening of sharing and exchanging ideas next year.”

Preston McMurry, a philanthropist and successful advertising executive of the Phoenix-based marketing firm, McMurry, lead the discussion and shared his insights from the perspective of a donor and of a marketing professional.
