Oct. 17, 2012 - PRLog -- FREMONT, CALIF. -- iMusti.com, a leading provider of digital Indian audio and video content, today announced its entry into the e-book market. With this expansion, iMusti.com becomes the first music portal to offer audio, video and books on a single platform for digital and physical distribution.

Aiming to offer exclusive and vast collections, iMusti.com has partnered with leading book publishers of India.  Agreements have been signed with several top publishers including Keshav Bikaji Dhawale and Rajpal Publications.

E-books will be available in their original format and delivered to subscribers via computer/laptop, iPad, iPhone, iPod Touch, Kindle or Android mobile device.  Apps are available on Android, Apple and Samsung platforms.

iMusti.com will provide a large number of books in English, Hindi, Marathi, Sanskrit and will expand to other Indian languages as well. The collection will include titles on literature, politics, history, music, spirituality and children's books. An interesting aspect of the development is that the users would be given an option to buy as well as borrow the book and return after reading just as they do in a physical library. With this proposition, iMusti.com becomes the first music portal to launch a digital library across the globe. Users will be able to log into iMusti.com and subscribe to five books for a flat monthly fee.

As a complimentary offer, returned books will be available to customers for an additional period of one month. Members can also purchase hardcopies of books and have them shipped to their homes. The books will be available at affordable price ranging between $5 to $50.
Commenting on the significant expansion, Mr. Samir Khandwala, Founder & CEO iMusti.com said, “This exciting launch into the e-book market provides access to one of the fastest growing e-commerce markets in the world and is an absolute valuable addition to our portfolio.”

With this expansion, iMusti.com becomes the first music portal to offer incomparable, copyrighted content.

Talking about the potential market, Mr. Khandwala adds, “The demand for e-books enjoys an encouraging linear connection with factors such as increase in computer, Internet and mobile phone usage.”  He is confident that readers will find content that is not easily available on the market.

According to a recent research by Bowker Market Research’s Global e-Book Monitor, U.S., Australia, India and U.K. are leading the world in e-book adoption rates. “We see a huge potential and the demand will expand to all categories of books including more local and impenetrable works,” Khandwala said.

Commenting on the affiliation, Aanjaneya Dhawale, Partner of Dhawale Publications said, “We are excited to partner with iMusti.com to introduce our famous collection in digital format for customers in all parts of the world. Their technology platform will allow us to offer our collection in digital format and also sell printed books.”

Keshav Bhikaji Dhawale is more than a century old book publishing house and a name synonymous with religious publishing in both Marathi and English. “We are a pioneer in the fields of Stostra, Sanskrit, Modi, Religious, Dictionary, Pooja-Katha, Children’s books, Astrology, Biography, and Fiction publishing in India.  Through this partnership, we aim to reach out to the readers who like to explore similar genres,   value quality content and enjoy reading,” added Mr. Dhawale.

iMusti.com will facilitate the subscribers to easily access new titles, add bookmarks, and create a library of titles viewed. iMusti.com will use the Digital Rights Management (DRM) technology for the secure functioning of the digital library and all publishers will have secure licenses for their digital functioning.

Ashish Chaughule, President of the Bruhan Maharashtra Mandal North America applauds iMusti.com’s latest initiative.  “I am confident that in today’s global marketplace, iMusti is well positioned to cater to the various cultural needs of about 50,000 Maharashtrian families from North America.”
