PRLog - Oct. 17, 2012 - CHICAGO -- Sunlite Broadcasting announces a new partnership with The Chicago Bible Society in presenting the new "Stories of Great Hymns" television program to a new online audience. The first episode, which tells the story of Saint Francis of Assisi, and his great hymn, "All Creatures of our God and King"
There are to be nearly two hundred episodes of Stories of Great Hymns to be produced by Sunlite Broadcasing in the coming year.
Stories of Great Hymns features veteran radio actor (Moody Radio's Stories of Great Christians Series, Ranger Bill, Sailor Sam and other features produced by the network over the years) and the hymns music itself performed by noted composer and musician, Larry Shackley.
Allan Winters, Sunlite President says "the radio version of this program was well received by audiences around the world, and with the wide deployment of high speed internet and mobile devices, we felt it was time to re-release the program and embellish it by adding video to the stories." The first episode can be viewed by clicking on the link below.
Already, a few unsponsored episodes, were posted on YouTube, two years ago, and we were pleased to see an increasing number of viewers watching them." Over ten thousand have already seen this production online. So we have now decided to produce the entire series in video format," says Winters.
The Chicago Bible Society, whom Sunlite serves as a media consultant, has developed a multi media website www.chicagobiblesociety.net as well.
The Society is over 170 years old, but has now fully embraced the new technologies, and provides links to downloadable Bibles, as well as videos about the work of the Society based in the Windy City.
Many have compared the development of the internet as similar to the work done by
Johannes Gutenberg who transformed the world's ability to produce literature in large quantities faster and more efficiently by movable type, hence the Gutenberg printing press.
Now with the advance of smartphones, iPhones, iPads, tablets and numerous other mobile devices, there is a vast new audience to be reached by the Bible, Bible Stories and videos, and of course "Stories of Great Hymns."
