Javier Bohorquez is a photographer and a contemporary new media artist based in NYC. His work is being recognized under Jabo (Javier Bohorquez). The foundation of his digital artwork is based upon his photographs. His creative process involves layers of imagination that create powerful compositions where color plays a dominant role. For Jabo, color is a strong driving force that comes from his Latin roots.
His technical skills were gained from studies done at leading schools such as the International Center of Photography in New York and the Applied Art School in Amagansett, New York. His work has been exhibited in galleries in New York City, The Hamptons, NY, Minneapolis, MN and South Florida
Additionally, he has had the opportunity to attend a number of seminars with both talented and gifted photographers such as Scott Kelby, a master in digital photography. But after all, experimenting has been his biggest teacher! He is amazed at how things do not always seem what they look like. “There is a surprise factor that we should always keep in mind,” Bohorquez says.
Originally from Colombia, Javier earned a Bachelor of Science in Animal Nutrition and Genetics in 1996 and dedicated his efforts to work with pure bred dogs for 12 years. Sasha Lickle Designs
Sasha Lickle Designs is an organically chic line of seashell and semi-precious stone jewelry. The designs reflect love for the simplicity and beauty of nature. Full of brightly colored corals, seashells and stones to perfectly compliment any outfit.
Sasha Lickle is a native of Palm Beach, Florida and an alumnae of Rollins College where she earned her Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology at Nova Southeastern University and then attended Nova's Doctoral program in Clinical Psychology. She spent many summers throughout her life traveling the Bahamas. It was there on the beautiful beaches of the Caribbean islands that she discovered her love for seashells. She combined this love, with her desire to create her own line of jewelry and from that pastime blossomed a passion for the stylish and sophisticated shell jewelry that she creates today. Sasha Lickle Designs produces an exquisite line of shell jewelry crafted by hand with shells from around the globe.
Cristiana Shields, daughter of former Revlon Vice-President Frank Shields, is making her own name in the fashion scene with Shields Jewelry. Her handmade pieces are designed with a deeply spiritual approach that carry their own energies and are chosen to bring the wearer something special and unique. Her line crafted from semi-precious stones includes necklaces, bracelets, and earrings each with a special story or inspiration to wear along.
Cristiana has donated the “Moment of Truth”, a design specially crafted in honor of those who have served the United States. The Mookiate dog tag stone pendant is attached to a 16-inch antique gold chain. Mookiate "Shields" against negativity and helps one see opportunities for change or improvement in working practices and reduces the impact of distractions or obstacles. This special stone also helps amplify awareness while offering protection from being overwhelmed. The antique gold Chain associates with the mind and aids logic, memory, concentration, will-power and communication.
