Oct. 16, 2012 - PRLog -- From a teleconference with Coach Ferentz, it looks like if Mark Weisman plays at all, it will be extremely limited.  Considering he is not on the depth charts and the Coach said that Monday's MRI was promising and he would be doing "light work" would seem to point to Weisman not being a factor in Saturday nights game against the Penn State Nittany Lions.

Weisman started the season amassing only 8 yards in two games, but has since blossomed into an offensive star with "a Heisman for Weisman" or "Weisman for Heisman"  ringing through the Internet and the Hawkeye campus.  He has recorded four consecutive 100-yard rushing performances with 623 total yards and eight touchdowns.

It is unknown as to the condition of Damon Bullock and his concussion, so at this time, we are possibly looking at Jordan Canzeri taking the start.  Canzeri had a torn ACL in the spring, an injury from which he made a speedy recovery.  Ferentz has often noted that he has looked better each week and identified that he will likely be a factor against Penn State.
