New Fitness, Photography businesses announce grand openings in Lafayette

PRLog (Press Release) - Nov. 4, 2012 - LAFAYETTE, CA--  The Club Fitness and Kaur Photography today announced the grand opening of their joint venture in Lafayette, offering discerning Lamorinda residents a wide array of high-end services including private fitness and nutritional coaching as well as a photography services including portraits, headshots, special event coverage and more.  Their grand opening was attended by Sen. Mark Desaulnier.

“Most fitness programs do not typically include nutrition planning with their membership,” says Anna Dornier, owner and founder of The Club Fitness (www.TheClubLafayette.com). “At The Club Fitness, we recognize the importance that good nutrition plays in an individual’s health and outcome,” said Dornier.  

“I am excited to bring my team to Lafayette where the need for fine quality, artistic photography and related products is in high demand", said Gurpreet Kaur, CEO and owner of Kaur Photography (www.kaurphotography.com).   “By partnering with The Club Fitness, we are able to provide a one-stop shop for helping our clients look nothing but their very best”, said Kaur.          

The modern and elegantly designed 1,200 square foot state-of-the art private studio is located at 3538-A Golden Gate Way  in downtown Lafayette, adjacent to the Lafayette Music Center and less than one block from the new Lafayette Library.  Nearby businesses include Whole Foods, Metro Restaurant, and many more.  

The Club Fitness Studio offers semi-private personal training with a maximum of 6 people per session. Because of this small class size, fitness coaches at The Club are better able to focus on each client’s exercise form ensuring they have a fun, effective, and safe workout. In addition, clients also get support and coaching around their nutrition which is tailored to them based on their lifestyle and health and fitness goals.

Kaur Photography, led by Gurpreet Kaur, offers on location and in-studio photography services with a special focus on children and family portraiture.  In addition, Kaur offers expectant mothers an opportunity to capture their pregnancies.

Both Dornier and Kaur are immigrants to the United States and met one another four years ago during a business empowerment networking event in the East Bay and have since go on to become successful business owners.  Dornier was recently recognized by the Filipina Women’s Network as one its top 100 emerging leaders while Kaur was recognized in her native Canada  by receiving the ‘Le Prix de Lieutenant Governor’ for academic excellence and her contribution to the arts.
