By: Ben's Kosher Delicatessen Restaurant & Caterers Ben’s will be accepting entries for the best T-shirt design through its Facebook page. The winning design — which will be chosen by Ben’s with assistance from those visiting Ben’s Facebook fan page and Ben’s staff — will join a series of commemorative T-shirts that Ben’s has created or put on sale at its six locations. To see the shirts for sale or to purchase online, visit www.bensdeli.net. Entries will be accepted until October 31. Customers from all Ben’s six locations who wish to enter the “Why I Love Ben’s” essay contest can post on Ben’s Facebook page what it is about the restaurant that makes their dining experience really special. Visitors will have the opportunity to read these stories on Ben’s Facebook fan page and vote for their favorite one. Entries will be accepted until December 14. For the Ben’s Facebook have to do is take a photo of themselves either eating at one of Ben’s six locations, or enjoying a Ben’s catered or take-out meal at the office or at home, and posting it to Ben’s Facebook page, where visitors will then have the opportunity to vote on their favorite photos. Any photos related to Ben’s since the restaurant opened in 1972 will also be accepted. Entries will be accepted until December 31. These contests are part of a series of events and contests that Ben’s is hosting in celebration of its 40th anniversary. As part of the celebration, the grand prize winner will receive a trip for two to the 40th state. South Dakota, which became the 40th state in November 2, 1889, is home to famous attractions such as Mount Rushmore, Crazy Horse Memorial, the Corn Palace and Badlands National Park. Visitors can visit Pierre, the state capital, or take in the beauty and tranquility of Falls Park, the Missouri River and its prairie reserves. The winner from each contest gets a $40 Ben’s comp card. All entrants from the three contests will be eligible to win the grand prize, for which one winner will be chosen.
