The “Wow Traveler with Samsung Smart Camera” campaign was rolled out in the form of a built-in application on the Samsung Middle East Facebook page and encouraged participants to capture images reflecting their unique experiences upload them through the application and have them voted for by other fans. The campaign attracted more than 11,300 contestants in three months, out of which 21 were named winners, and more than 150,000 fans to the Samsung Middle East Facebook page.
The selection of the winners was based entirely on the votes each participant received for the images they uploaded and shared with the other Samsung Middle East Facebook page fans. The winners represented a wide number of MENA markets which included Algeria, Bahrain, Egypt, Jordan, Kuwait, Morocco, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and United Arab Emirates. The top six winners were awarded a fully paid four-day touristic trip to South Korea from October 8th to October 11th All of the winners were given Samsung’s latest top-of-the-line Smart Cameras, WB150F and DV300F.
