Award winning trombonist sets up sizzling Big Band in Banbury

Oct. 15, 2012 - PRLog -- Kris Reeder, the multi award winning trombonist has kept up his relentless pace by setting up the Banbury based Kris Reeder Big Band.

The Kris Reeder Big Band will play standards and a variety of modern numbers and old classics. Kris is expected to put together an awesome lineup when the band gigs, initially in local bars and pubs.

Kris said 'Banbury and the 25 mile ring area around Banbury needs a top big band and that is what I am creating. London and Birmingham have top bands so why shouldn't this area.'

The Big Band are expected to headline a music festival in 2013 and will attract wonderful players from the area and beyond. Banbury doesn't have a big band even though there is huge demand for jazz, swing and jazz dance music.

Kris Reeder had been electric since performing live on BBC1 at Wembley with Laura Wright in front of 79,000 fans and has since secured sponsorship deals and the support of One Man Band in Banbury who provide first class amplifiers and excellent service.
