By: Jewish Vocational Service “Jack’s vision to provide sustained support for agencies like JVS to deliver the necessary training and job placement activities for our clients and all job seekers is unsurpassed,” The luncheon features keynote speaker, Bethany McLean, contributing editor of Vanity Fair magazine and well-known for her work on the Enron scandal. McLean is the co-author, with former Fortune colleague Peter Elkind, of Enron: The Smartest Guys in the Room, exposing the corrupt business practices of Enron officials, and co-author with New York Times columnist Joe Nocera of All the Devils are Here about the 2008 financial crisis The emcee is Leah Hope, ABC-7 News. Proceeds from the luncheon will supplement JVS Chicago’s resources, enabling the agency to respond to increased requests for service, expand program offerings throughout the Chicago area, and create new initiatives to help job seekers be competitive in this churning marketplace.
