Oct. 15, 2012 - PRLog -- ExpertIG today was chosen as one of the top three finalists in the SAP Mobile Apps Partner Challenge (http://www.sapmobileappspartnercenter.com/) in North America for its successful development of its myOrders mobile app. ExpertIG will be participating in the “Mobile Jumpstart” event, where the audience will decide on the winner live. The event will take place on Oct. 17 during SAP® TechEd 2012 Las Vegas (http://www.sapteched.com/12/usa/home.htm).

This challenge is one of several new initiatives of the SAP Mobile Apps Partner program (http://www.news-sap.com/new-mobile-developer-programs-from-sap-provide-open-access-for-developers-to-build-b2b-and-b2c-apps/), launched in May. It offers an incentive to SAP partners to build and deliver vibrant mobile apps for customers. The North American regional challenge closed at the end of August with more than 49 mobile apps submissions from nearly 23 partners.

The myOrders – Customer Order Inquiry and Tracking app enables a company’s customers to track their orders throughout all phases of the sales-order process. Customers receive 24/7 access to data with real-time notifications and the ability to prevent order setbacks through easy search and viewing capabilities. Any company providing their customers with the myOrders app is providing better customer service at a lower cost of doing business.

“We are excited to be recognized as a finalist in the SAP Mobile Apps Partner Challenge,” said Jim Cameron, partner, ExpertIG. “We see SAP mobile technology and the SAP Mobile Apps Partner program as a valuable asset in helping make ExpertIG one of the premier enterprise mobility providers in the marketplace today.”

After all of the apps were submitted for the North American challenge, a jury consisting of SAP experts on enterprise mobility as well as industry analysts and influencers then reviewed and scored the apps based on user experience, functionality and innovation, customer appeal and business value. ExpertIG was named as one of the top three finalists to compete in Mobile Jumpstart. Now it’s up to the audience at SAP TechEd to decide which app will be the winner of SAP Mobile Apps Partner Challenge, North America 2012.

“The SAP Mobile Apps Partner Challenge underscores SAP’s commitment to empowering partners to easily build, deliver and market new mobile innovations to our customers,” said Bernd-Uwe Pagel, senior vice president, Platform Ecosystem and eChannels, SAP. “We applaud ExpertIG on being named a finalist. Through the North American challenge, we have seen some impressive apps from our partners, delivering a rich and diverse set of packaged mobile apps that address a broad spectrum of business needs for customers.”

The SAP Mobile Apps Partner program (http://www.news-sap.com/new-mobile-developer-programs-fro...) offers partners a comprehensive set of enablement tools, benefits and end-to-end support to help them develop, market, and sell mobile apps that meet customers’ needs. The program also delivers a cost-effective starter package for development licenses, access to an extensive community of developers and certification of mobile apps, as well as the ability for partners to market and sell their apps via SAP Store.
