Stahl Sheaffer Engineering Creates Opportunity to Send Local Youth to PSU Football Game October 27

Stahl Sheaffer Engineering is asking for help to support kids by donating PSU vs OSU tickets to the Big Brothers & Sisters of Centre Co. Email ghuff@psu.edu. Free ticket to the first 10 people who attend a Big Brother & Sister orientation session!

Stahl Sheaffer Engineering is donating tickets for the October 27 Penn State vs. Ohio State football game to the Big Brothers and Big Sisters program. The firm is also hosting a tailgate on the concourse at the Spikes Stadium, Lubrano Park, where ticket holders and tailgaters can stop by from 12:00 to 5:30 to meet the kids and learn more about the Youth Service Bureau and how they can help make a difference.  Free hot chocolate and hot dogs will be available at 2:00.

The Centre County Youth Service Bureau (YSB) is a non-profit organization focused on youth services since 1967. In 2011, the YSB reached more than 7,500 individuals, serving more than 5,300 youth through public education, prevention and after school programming. The organization’s mission is to “ensure that children, youth, and families will have opportunities to realize and fulfill their potential for growth and development through their participation in a continuum of community-based, family-based, and residential programs.”  Rod Stahl, a principal of Stahl Sheaffer Engineering, said, “We wanted to take positive action in a way that would not only provide awareness of what YSB is doing for youth in this community, but also to give these kids a great experience they might not otherwise have.”

Stahl Sheaffer Engineering is issuing a request for help on behalf of the YSB.  If you have been looking for a way to take positive action in support of youth and the community – please consider donating additional tickets or becoming a Big Brother or Sister. To donate tickets so that more of the 200 kids in the program can see the game, call Greg Huff at 814-867-2536, or email ghuff@psu.edu. For those who are interested in donating their time to volunteer, Stahl Sheaffer Engineering will give a free PSU/OSU ticket to the first ten people who sign up to be a Big Brother or Sister and attend an orientation session prior to the game. Orientation sessions will be held:

• Monday, Oct. 15 at 6 pm. State College Borough Building, Allen Street.
• Tuesday, Oct. 23 at 4 pm at the State College Borough Building, Allen Street.
