The European Social Networks Group Website Launch

PRLog (Press Release) - Oct. 15, 2012 - The European Social Networks Group is glad to announce today the launch of its new website esng.eu - presenting its actions, purposes, goals and topics to a broad audience. The Website is an important step for ESNG, making its efforts and actions visible and connecting with stakeholders on a national and european level.

The new website provides:

• European industry insights in the field of social networks and social technology,
tackling topics of the European Commission and European Parliament like Level- Playing-Field, Data-Protection Regulations and many other, covering also the activities of the group
• a download section, where one can access all the papers filed to the European Commission
• General Informations and contact details from the members
• a more detailed mission statement, explaining the purpose and the perspective of the
group.

As an interest group comprised of the largest European Social Networks, representing more than 160 million users, ESNG is committed to fair competition for all Social Media Networks with special regards to data protection, user privacy and other individual rights of citizens and considers them core assets of their services. ESNG endorses global standards and harmonization of legal frameworks that apply to all Social Networks regardless of their origin, emphasizing the need for clear rules and regulation that are easily applicable to all Social Networks operating in the European Union.
