PRLog (Press Release) -
Oct. 15, 2012 - Whatsapp-status.com is a new, independent service that monitors uptime for the popular Whatsapp mobile messaging service.
Whatsapp-status.com collects reports on Whatsapp issues on Twitter. The most recent reports are published on the website, which also features a chart that displaying the number of reports processed over the past 24 hours. This information helps the public in determining if Whatsapp is having service issues.
The founders of
http://www.whatsapp-status.com decided to launch the service after a series of outages left customers without service on multiple occasions, but failed to update their users. “In September alone, Whatsapp suffered 6 outages, including a 14-hour disruption on 8 September. In October we’ve witnessed 2 service interruptions so far,” says Tom Sanders, co-founder of http://www.whatsapp-
status. “Whatsapp boasts that it is able to send a billion messages each day, but users have nowhere to turn when the service isn’t performing. We aim to fill that void.”
