Oct. 15, 2012 - LGC Standards’ LoGiCal reference solutions are proving beneficial to the Eastern Finland Laboratory Centre Joint Authority Enterprise (ISLAB) laboratory at Kuopio University Hospital. ISLAB performs around eight million analyses annually, and the Kuopio laboratory is the largest in its network of hospital and healthcare centre laboratories. The laboratory relies on high quality reference materials for the analysis of patient samples, as Assistant Chief Chemist Dr Toivo Halonen explained: “Accurate results are very important to us. We wanted to try ready-to-use solutions of reference materials and we evaluated LGC Standards’ LoGiCal product range for antidepressants and antipsychotic drugs and their metabolites to use for our chromatographic analyses.”
