Malaysia to Host First Ever Content-Trade Publishing Convention in Asia

The sixth annual Asian Publishing Convention (APC) will be held at the Crowne Plaza Mutiara, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on Nov. 30 - Dec. 1, 2012 (Friday & Saturday).

Oct. 15, 2012 - PRLog -- After pioneering Online, Mobile and Digital research ‘how to’ workshops six years ago, the Asian Publishing Convention (APC) moves up the value chain to platform transactional networks across borders in this first Asian Content Marketplace. APC this year is strictly for those who can make or influence a deal - Licensors and Licensees, Publishers, Editors, Booksellers, Agents, Writers, Designers and Illustrators, Translators, Packagers and Distributors, Digital developers and Solution suppliers.
The APC 2012 CONTENT MARKETPLACE will be the most important venue in Asia to buy and sell content copyrights in different languages. It is to be THE place for brand licensing, content exchanges, joint ventures and collaboration on advertising and distribution logistics. An exclusive club of buyers, sellers and enablers from 15 countries are expected.

APC 2012 Content Marketplace is the perfect venue to:
 •  Sell and buy copyrights across borders
 •  Establish new contacts and strengthen previous relationships
 •  Develop new business opportunities
 •  Demonstrate the latest trends and tech developments

A full program of events is in store for attendees with face to face meetings, plenary presentations, speed meeting sessions, the APC Awards and the inauguration of the CONTENT MARKETPLACE which features the Publishing Suite, Freelance Café, and Digi Center. All on the agenda, these events will make the 1½ days packed, busy and lively. You will have the rare opportunity to deepen your knowledge of all things related to buying and selling content and understanding digital developments. You will also enrich your personal and professional relationships.

When asked if the event is worth attending, Malaysian co-chair of the event, Cyril Pereira said “Have we ever wasted your time?”

Also happening is the Asian Publishing Awards (APA), incorporating the Asian Magazine Management Awards, the Asian Book Publishing Awards, and the Asian Corporate Communications Awards.

APC 2012 Content Marketplace is presented by Strategic Corporate Partner ASENDIA. Other sponsors ADOBE and WOODWING are in the process of confirmation.
