My lower back pain had been raging for weeks and i had decided to seek help. My friend Maggie had been to see a guy called Les Bailey near my home town of Banstead.
I had seen his book "The Laymans Guide to Foot and Heel Pain" by Dr Les Bailey phd in our local book store but never realised this was the same guy! I had seen a local osteopath but it had only helped a little. A chiropractor had done little better.
I emailed Les Bailey and found him very helpful and actually quite refreshing in his down to earth and humorous approach.
Visiting him was a little different to what i was used to, but he put me at ease immediately.He showed me the problem using a spine model and upon examination discovered the root problem was my foot posture.i had bought orthotics a few months ago for an unrelated problem,and he inspected these and remarked that they were amazingly accurate for the problem i had.
He explained that the orthotics would support my lumbar well but first i would need to be corrected at the pelvis and the orthotics would take over from there?
He proceeded to manipulate my spine, including the neck,pushing and pulling me about with ease. i would have expected this to hurt but not a bit of it!!! He then gave my back a deep massage to ease the muscles which was brilliant.
I got the feeling he was very at home doing his job, and i can now add that i am pain free 4 weeks later.The headache i had are now gone too.(he said that would resolve after he did my neck)
