Calibration – There is no set interval for calibrating the Leica Rugby 300 SG Grade Laser, but calibration should be checked from time to time in order to ensure the highest possible quality of work being done. Calibration should be checked if the laser has been dropped or mishandled.
Transport in the Field – When transporting the Rugby 300 SG, always carry the instrument in its carrying case. Never carry the instrument loose in a road vehicle.
Weather – Never store the laser in a carrying case that is wet inside. Should this happen, remove the laser from the case and place the laser and case in a warm area until completely dry.
Batteries – occasionally remove the batteries and check the contacts for corrosion. Remove the batteries from the Rugby 300 SG if the laser is being put in storage for a while.
Shipping – If your Rugby 300 SG does need to be serviced, make sure laser is shipped in its carrying case. Never ship laser without the carry case. Also putting case in another cardboard box is recommended.
