Bethesda, MD – To support sustainable living, invigorate U.S. job growth and help the economy, Urban Country is making a loyal Made in America pledge. The locally-owned quintessential home furnishings boutique for countryside and urban spaces, will unveil its new Made In America furniture and accessory showcase during a wine and hors d’oeuvres reception on Thursday, October 25 from 6:30 – 9:30 p.m. The Made In America showcase will feature furniture and accessories all manufactured right here in the United States that include collections from trend-setting retailers as LEE Industries and Hickory Chair, among many other popular domestic brands. Urban Country is located in Bethesda Row at 7117 Arlington Road, Bethesda, MD 20814. Admission is free.
Urban Country’s Made In America event will also present a silent auction with proceeds benefitting The Achilles Freedom Team of Wounded Vets – a nonprofit organization that supports wounded servicemen currently recovering at Walter Reed National Medical Center who will participate in this year’s Marine Corps Marathon on October 28.

About The Achilles Freedom Team
Since 2004, Achilles has sponsored over 1,000 wounded vets to participate in mainstream races worldwide. An extension of the Achilles process of physical strengthening, building confidence, and generating a supportive community, the Achilles Freedom Team program was adapted to the specific needs of wounded members of the U.S. military. The program benefits the patients at Walter Reed National Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland so they can receive training as well as use of specialized adaptive devices, such as hand-crank wheelchairs early on in their recovery.
