Payzone’s new ‘Bluetooth’
Steve Almond, Head of Card Acceptance at Payzone said: “In launching our new portable card acceptance terminal we’re continuing our commitment to support the needs of our business customers.
"Not only is the terminal smaller and lighter than our previous Bluetooth terminal but it also has a significantly faster printer. This makes life easier and saves time for our customers and also for their customers who pay by credit or debit card.”
“We’re also finding that an increasing number of our retail business customers are asking to accept ‘contactless’
Almond continued: “More and more of Payzone’s small and growing business customers now have Broadband internet connections in their businesses. With this in mind, the base unit of our new terminal has been designed to plug directly into any standard broadband router.
"This reduces costs for our customers, frees up the telephone line and provides faster payment authorisation speeds. For those customers who haven’t yet moved to Broadband, the terminal base unit can also be plugged into a standard telephone line.”
Payzone continues to invest in the latest card acceptance technology and will shortly be launching a new mobile rechargeable terminal, the Ingenico iWL251, that uses a GPRS SIM card to allow MasterCard and Visa card payments to be accepted almost anywhere.
