PRLog - Oct. 12, 2012 - COLCHESTER, U.K. -- A road show helping to keep drivers safe and legal this winter by giving shoppers the chance to have their tyres checked for free is visiting supermarkets across Cornwall.
Shoppers can get free tyre safety checks to make sure their tyres are safe.
It will visit branches of Tesco, Sainsbury’s and Asda and has been organised by Cornwall Council Road Safety Team in partnership with Devon & Cornwall Police and Steve Andrews Tyres.
First stop is Tesco’s in Helston on 15th October, followed by Sainsbury’s in Truro on 16th, Asda in Bodmin on 18th and finally Tesco’s in Callington on 19th.
Apart from the tyre checks, shoppers can also talk to the tyre experts on hand to find out how to best look after their tyres so they remain as safe as possible when driving.
Stuart Jackson, chairman, TyreSafe, the organisation behind tyre safety month, said: “This is a great opportunity for shoppers in Cornwall to have their tyres inspected by a team of local experts, completely free of charge.
“And it’s especially important at this time of year as we head towards winter and road conditions worsen to make sure your tyres are safe, which includes having adequate tread depth and the correct air pressure.
“Our thanks also go to Cornwall Council Road Safety Team, Devon & Cornwall Police and Steve Andrews Tyres for supporting national tyre safety month at a local level and getting fully behind the campaign.”
