Coreland Companies Negotiates Four Leases Totaling 9,100 SF in Lakewood, Calif.

Coreland Companies' brokerage division recently negotiated four leases totaling more than 9,101 SF at the Carwood Center in Lakewood, Calif. Newly signed tenants include: Bellflower Beauty College, PCS Express, Chronic Tacos, and The Green Room.

PRLog - Oct. 12, 2012 - TUSTIN, CALIF. – Coreland Companies of Tustin, Calif., one of the largest private real estate service companies based in California, announced today that its brokerage division has recently negotiated four leases totaling more than 9,101 square feet at the Carwood Center in Lakewood, Calif., which brings the center to 98% leased. Coreland is the exclusive representative for Carwood Center, which is a 107,000-square-foot Vons grocery-anchored shopping center located at the northwest corner of Woodruff Avenue and Carson Street in the heart of Lakewood. Coreland's Director, Retail Brokerage Matt Hammond and Senior Associate Ben Terry represented the property ownership in all four lease transactions, totaling $1.1 million in consideration.

Bellflower Beauty College of Lakewood signed a 5-year lease for 5,031 square feet at the Carwood Center. PCS Express, “An Authorized Verizon Dealer,” signed a 5-year lease for 1,600 square feet. Chronic Tacos signed a 5-year lease for 1,300 square feet. The Green Room, a Herbalife Independent Distributor, signed a 3-year lease for 1,170 square feet. Garrett Colburn of SRS Real Estate Partners represented Chronic Tacos.

The four new tenants, which are expected to open in late October to early November, will join Vons, It’s A Grind, Subway, Supercuts, RE/MAX, Pacific Trust Bank at Carwood Center located in the 4200 block of Woodruff Avenue in Lakewood.

“The recent lease signings of these four new tenants further confirms the revitalization that has taken place at this key intersection,” said Hammond. “Chronic Tacos, Bellflower Beauty College of Lakewood, Verizon Wireless and The Green Room will greatly benefit from the surrounding activity, as well as the top-performing Vons which anchors the Carwood Center.”

A newly completed 12-acre redevelopment situated across the street from Carwood Center features Sprouts, Smart & Final Extra!, Harbor Freight Tools and Alin Party Supply. According to Hammond, Marshalls and HomeGoods have just signed leases at this new development and will soon join the tenant roster.

"Carwood Center only has two remaining spaces available for lease, a 1,600-square-foot prime restaurant space and an 1,048-square-foot retail unit," Hammond added.
