Giants vs 49ers - REVENGE for the 49ers or Another Victory for the Giants?

The two favorite NFC teams - the 49ers and the Giants - will go head to head on October 14th for a match up that promises to be as exhilarating as last season's NFC championship game.

Per ESPN's power rankings, the 49ers, with a record of 4-1 are currently at the 3rd spot.  The Giants are presently at the 7th spot, with a record of 3 wins against 2 losses. With the San Francisco 49ers going into this game leading the New York Giants in power rankings, will they be able to beat out the offense launched by Manning?

Having lost only one game thus far this season, the 49ers seem to be in exceptionally good form.  But they will have to stay focused when matched up against the Giants, and make sure that they don't give an inch.  

Both the 49ers and the Giants have played in the Super Bowl 5 times each, with the Giants winning the Super Bowl title 4 of those 5 times, and the 49ers winning it all 5 times! In fact, the 49ers are the only team in NFL history who have played in the Super Bowl more than once, who have never lost a Super Bowl game.

Yet, the 49ers are also the team with the most losses of all (8 losses) in the NFC championships.  They are still stinging from the freshest of these losses last season, against the Giants. There is no doubt that Alex Smith and Colin Kaepernick will pull out all the stops in this game on the 14th of October.  That is why, with these two super popular teams playing against each other, the upcoming Giants vs 49ers game is inducing the frenzy typically associated with a playoffs game, although we have not even hit mid-season yet.
