According to NMPP Energy Executive Director Gary Stauffer, the new facility will provide long-term savings and offers improved workspace functionality for the 50 employees serving the four organizations. NMPP Energy’s move to its new building from downtown Energy Square is expected to save between $2.3 and 3.1 million in operating costs over 30 years. The 27,000 square-foot facility features many energy efficient technologies to cut operational costs, including thermal heat pumps, room light sensors, optimal day lighting, tinted glass and shades that reduce/retain heat gain. State of the art technologies allow for video conferencing and webinars, which cut down on travel for NMPP Energy’s constituents.
