Oct. 11, 2012 - PRLog -- Neighborhood Revitalization Group (NRG) is pleased to announce that it will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate its newest renovation project at the Four Seasons Plaza shopping center (6345 Albemarle Rd) at 11:00 a.m. on October 18, 2012.

“We’re happy to introduce our latest completed NRG project in the East Charlotte community to both business owners and consumers alike,” said James Sharples, NRG’s President. “The ribbon-cutting ceremony for the Four Seasons Plaza shopping center marks a new era of partnerships for NRG in Charlotte.”

John Autry, District 5 Representative of the Charlotte City Council, will participate in the ribbon-cutting and offer remarks regarding the Four Seasons Plaza renovation project and the large economic involvement of the City of Charlotte through its Façade Improvement Grant Program. In total, the City invested $175,000 in the project.

Christopher Hemans, Business Corridor Recruiter with the City of Charlotte said, “NRG reached out to the City of Charlotte shortly after purchasing this center, wanting to not only improve the appearance of the site, but to give the Farm Pond community a place to gather for events. When you look at the dollar investment compared to what the long-term benefits are going to be for this community, you really understand this money is going to go a long way for the East side of Charlotte.”

Four Seasons tenant Deli-cias Restaurante Latino will provide food and refreshments following the ceremony.

NRG is also hosting a public grand re-opening celebration on Saturday, October 20, 2012 at the Four Seasons Plaza shopping center that will feature carnival games and activities appropriate for all ages. The free event runs from 12:00p.m. to 4:00p.m. There will be a trackless train, spin art booth, carnival games, prizes, faces painting, and carnival style concessions for children. In addition to the carnival events, businesses in the Four Seasons Plaza shopping center will be hosting sidewalk sales so parents can shop.

“The celebration is a great way to highlight the shopping center’s fresh new look and showcase all of the fantastic businesses located there,” said Sharples.

Two Charlotte radio stations, La Raza 106.1FM and WNOW 105.3FM, will be in attendance to provide musical entertainment and giveaways all afternoon.  La Raza, a pop Latin radio station, will provide music from 12;00p.m. to 2:00p.m. and then WNOW, an Urban oldies radio station, will provide music for the remainder of the event.

Prior to its recent work in North Carolina, NRG injected new life into properties in diverse communities throughout California. Their project renovations range from structural changes to aesthetic updates. After NRG’s project completion, the Four Seasons Plaza shopping center will feature a cohesive design that unifies the buildings, a new monument sign showcasing each tenant in the center as well as an improved parking lot layout with newly landscaped tree islands.
