Housebuilder helps local school to kickstart its fundraising campaign

PRLog (Press Release) - Oct. 11, 2012 - AS a new academic years gets underway – teachers, parents and children from a school in Knaresborough have started their fundraising campaign for new computer equipment.

Among the first donations to be given to St John’s Primary School – in quest to raise £10,000 to pay for new additional mobile IT equipment for the classrooms – has come from developer Linden Homes.

With a luxury development in the town, Linden Homes is furthering its commitment to the local community by boosting the fundraising coffers.

Linden Homes sales director Steve Woomble said: “Our ethos as a company is to support the community in which we are building, whether it be sponsorship of a sporting club or a contribution to a local school.

“We are delighted that our donation will go some way to St John’s School’s efforts on raising money for their equipment.”

Head teacher Emma Higgins added: “We are very grateful to Linden Homes for their contribution in what will be a busy fundraising year for the school. We’ve already had some amazing support for our campaign and hope to be organising varied events during the course of the year.”

Linden Homes is currently selling the last three remaining homes at the prestigious Jacob Smith Gardens development – which comprises 12 stunning three, four and five-bedroom homes.

The last four and four/five bedroom homes – which start from £525,000 – are due for completion before Christmas.
