Cruise & Tour the World with Titan

Titan’s new Cruise & Tour brochure for 2013 is out now; packed full of new tours and destinations as well as a number of special offers. Every year, Titan refines and expands its itineraries, often based on invaluable customer feedback. This year, 15 new itineraries are included in the Cruise & Tour brochure ranging from the remote South Pacific paradise of Easter Island to the wine regions of Bordeaux and Rioja, the sub-tropical idylls of the Azores, Cape Verde and Canary Islands to the natural wonders of Antarctica, the Northern Lights and  the Norwegian Fjords.

Titan is also offering on board credit of up to £200 per cabin and pre-paid gratuities across many tours within the brochure – adding an extra dimension to Titan’s value holidays.

Setting sail from Santiago aboard Fred Olsen’s elegant Black Watch the Grand Voyage of Easter Island takes in some of the most idyllic and remote islands in the South Pacific from Robinson Crusoe Island to Easter Island and its iconic moai; giant stone heads that stand as a testament to the industry and tragedy of the first island settlers. The ship then sails on to Raratonga and Tahiti before calling at the Bay of Islands, Auckland and finally Sydney.

For those who prefer to stay closer to home there are a number of new European tours including the new British Isles Explorer aboard Hurtigruten’s intimate expedition ship MS Fram. The compact size of the ship means it can call at destinations often inaccessible to larger vessels from the Isles of Scilly to the Isle of Man, Hebrides, Isle of Skye and Orkney Islands before ending up in Hamburg, Germany. The onboard lecturers provide further insight into the history and culture of these remote islands.

Wine connoisseurs may like to visit the Wine Regions of Bordeaux and Rioja to sample the delights of these two world-famous regions. Accompanied by TV wine expert Jilly Goolden, visit the coastal towns of Nantes and La Rochelle before sailing into the heart of French wine country, Bordeaux. From here, an optional excursion in Bilbao offers the chance to visit La Guardia in the Rioja wine region to sample some of the country’s top wines. Finally, from La Coruna, take an optional excursion to visit Santiago de Compostela, one of the most important Catholic pilgrimage routes in the world.

At the other end of the spectrum trip the light fantastic In search of the Northern Lights in Norway. Board Fred. Olsen’s Boudicca in Portsmouth and sail to the charming fishing port of Alesund before continuing to the ports of Tromso and Alta situated in the heart of the Arctic Circle – the best place to witness the spectacular displays of green, red and yellow celestial lights. En route home visit the colourful and cosmopolitan fishing town of Kristiansund.
